Frequently Asked Questions

Will my 3D printed/(insert brand) work with the super safety?

All War Hammer Armaments Super Safety components are manufactured to at least TDP (Technical Data Package) standards per U.S. Department of Defense M16/M4 specifications. Each unit is hand-inspected and quality checked prior to packaging.

If you are experiencing bolt binding, it may indicate host platform configuration issues, out-of-spec components, or installation-related factors.

Common causes include:
• Improper installation or alignment of components
• Use of out-of-spec or incompatible parts
• Insufficient lubrication or break-in
• Ammunition-related performance issues

For best results, we recommend installation be performed by a qualified gunsmith or experienced armorer, especially when working with modified or non-standard platforms.

We also recommend verifying proper installation, ensuring adequate lubrication, and using quality ammunition during break-in before further troubleshooting.

Which lower model should I choose for my MP5?

Choosing the correct lower depends on your specific MP5 platform and receiver type.

When ordering, you’ll need to match:
Platform type: MP5 (full size) or MP5K (short)
Receiver pattern: Push pin or shelf

Most HK SP5 variants use a shelf pattern, while many MP5-style clones use push pin configurations.

WHA complete lower assemblies are designed as a plug-and-play solution, with all required components pre-installed for your selected configuration.

If you’re unsure which option is correct for your setup, contact us with your firearm model and we’ll confirm the correct configuration.

Can I use third-party lowers or parts?

WHA systems are designed and optimized for WHA in-house lowers and supported platforms. Use with third-party or modified components may result in reduced reliability and is not covered under warranty.

My lower does not fit my MP5 Upper. What’s going on?

Choosing the correct lower depends on your MP5 variant and pin configuration.

Start by identifying your platform:

Full Size MP5 / SP5 / AP5 → Standard length
MP5K / SP5K / AP5-P → Short (K) variant

Next, confirm your receiver type:

HK / PTR pattern
MKE / Century / other clone platforms (push pin)

Our product options are labeled to match these configurations. Select the option that corresponds to your model and pin pattern.

If you are unsure, we recommend confirming your model before ordering to ensure proper fitment.

If you’re unsure, contact us with your exact model and we’ll confirm the correct option.

My Super Safety is installed, but the bolt is binding or getting stuck to the rear.

All WHA Super Safety components are manufactured to at least TDP (Technical Data Package) standards per the U.S. Department of Defense’s Colt M16/M4 specifications. Each unit is hand-inspected and quality checked prior to packaging. If you’re experiencing bolt binding, it may indicate incompatibility with out-of-spec components or improper installation.

What is the break-in process?

Yes. WHA recommends following a defined break-in process to ensure proper function and long-term reliability.

For MP5 / SP5 / AP5 platforms, the break-in process includes:
• Initial firing using the factory trigger group before installing the Super Safety
• Use of quality 124gr SAAMI/NATO-spec ammunition
• No suppressor use during break-in
• Gradual transition from semi-auto to Super Safety operation

For full step-by-step instructions, please review our break-in guide: WHA Break-in Process

I received my order but a component is missing. What should I do?

If something is missing from your order, please email War Hammer Armaments with the following:

• Your 5-digit order number
• A clear photo of all received components laid out
• A note specifying which part you believe is missing

If the packaging appears damaged, please include photos of the package as well.

All requests are reviewed by our team, and you can expect a response within 5–7 business days. If the issue is confirmed, we will arrange for the missing component to be shipped.

I saw (X) items in stock on your website. Are they really in stock?

Yes! If the website lists a specific quantity in stock, that is the accurate, live inventory. If an item is out of stock but still allows you to add it to your cart, it means the item is available for backorder. Backordered items typically ship within a reasonable timeframe, and we strive to keep delays minimal.
