Time: 6 – 8 hours

Course Availability: By Appointment ONLY

This course is designed for individuals who require or desire to master skills
with Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) in various tactical environments, including law enforcement
(LE/SWAT), government personnel (Gov’t), private military contractors (PMC), or even regular citizens
seeking advanced proficiency in their craft. It focuses on developing proficiency in low light and no
light conditions, pushing students to handle complex tasks and techniques using NVGs in
demanding scenarios.

The course emphasizes a variety of high-level skills that go beyond the basics of NVG usage. Key training elements include:

• Integration into a Team Environment: Students will work in leadership and support roles within teams, enabling fluid transitions between positions during training evolutions.
• Advanced Combat and Tactical Techniques: Training includes handling trauma situations such as wound packing, “stop the bleed” drills, and advanced medical techniques like stitching. Students will also develop navigational skills using maps and compasses, setting choke points, and executing ambushes under low-light conditions.
• Operating in Full Kit: Participants will cover extensive terrain (up to 2 miles), managing equipment such as weapons, hydration systems, and medical kits while crossing roads and other vulnerable areas undetected, with or without the team. The training will also teach terrain analysis for optimal team positioning to execute successful attacks.
• Advanced Team Tactics: Students will be trained in using NVG-compatible tools and equipment for marking and signaling. The course will simulate real-world scenarios, including ambushes and assessing enemy positions, allowing students to integrate techniques like I.R. (Infrared) signaling to enhance mission success.

Key skills covered include:

• Advanced Maneuvers: Moving collectively and individually undetected through populated target structures such as occupied buildings, roads, neighborhoods, and other exposed areas.
• Advanced Navigation: Utilizing maps and compass navigation to measure the bearing, identifying the destinations, adjusting for obstacles, understanding waypoints while considering the terrain, and checking the magnetic declination.
• Advanced Collaboration: Group and teamwork under NVG conditions for complex training evolutions.
• Final Preparation for F.T.X. (Field Training Exercise): Students will do a final review of key points from class to include maps, topo, I.F.F./I.R. signature equipment, communication, reconnaissance, and surveillance in preparation for F.T.X. In the culmination of lessons learned in the class for training evolutions, the students will participate in a Field Training Exercise (F.T.X.) for a real-world application of collective skills learned.
