Description
Recommended for aluminum lower receivers only, including Lee Sporting and AS Design lowers.
MP5-Pattern Platforms | Patent Pending
The GEN 2.0 MP5 Super Safety Drop-In Elite Hammer represents the next evolution in MP5-pattern fire-control components. Designed from the ground up, it replaces the inconsistent and labor-intensive solutions historically required to adapt Super Safety systems to roller-delayed platforms.
Prior approaches relied on modified AR-15 hammers, printed jigs, or extensive hand-fitting—often requiring repeated tuning and host-specific matching to achieve acceptable function. GEN 2.0 eliminates that process entirely. No fine-tuning is required, delivering consistent geometry, improved compatibility, and smooth operation directly out of the box.
Design & Engineering
- Purpose-built geometry precisely interfaces with the MP5 bolt carrier ledge/shelf
- Eliminates bolt hang-up and ensures full hammer clearance into the lower receiver
- Integrated relief undercut provides necessary clearance for the disconnector and trigger bar
- Engineered to maintain true roller-delayed blowback behavior without artificial cycling restrictions
The GEN 2.0 design achieves consistent performance across TDP-correct MP5-pattern lowers, allowing components to be swapped between hosts without re-tuning.
Manufacturing Process
- CNC-machined through eight precision operations
- Manufactured from upgraded GEN-2 material for increased strength and durability
- Six-stage hand-polishing process produces a mirror-smooth contact surface
- Increased tooling and machining complexity absorbed to maintain dimensional accuracy and longevity
Installation & Compatibility
- True drop-in solution
- User-installable with no armorer fitting required
- Designed for MP5-pattern Super Safety applications
- Functions as intended with properly spec’d MP5-pattern components
Installation is comparable in simplicity to installing an AR-15 hammer.
Performance Characteristics
- Precisely radiused hammer profile promotes smooth, consistent cycling
- Maintains correct interaction with the disconnector and sear
- Preserves the characteristic smoothness of the roller-delayed system
The result is a fire-control component that allows the MP5 platform to operate as designed, without compromises or improvised workarounds.
